I had bought a journal back in May with the idea that I would print off photos & keep a journal of my photography progress each month. At the start of each month I looked back on the previous month’s photos & picked out 4. Either my favorites, most memorable, or most improved. Honestly, the month of July was the hardest. Wisconsin Dells had so many good photos to choose from!
The day we went boating…
had the most epic photos! This is not a testament to my photo taking ability, but the ability of my family to look like they’re the coolest people on earth while trying not die. Because in the words of @JMRodgers14 on twitter, “if you haven’t almost been killed while tubing, then you haven’t actually gone tubing”
Nicole did the entire thing IN HER SUNGLASSES. Please go check out my Wisconsin Dells Gallery for more awesomeness.
Earlier this week I (finally) got around to printing May - August a few days ago. I had even picked some extras for a new photo frame I had gotten for the living room & a collection of Tony & I for one of those cute silly string lights with the clips for the bedroom. I was disappointed to find that they had come damaged. Luckily Amazon Customer Support was uncharacteristically easy to contact via phone & get a replacement order put in. Which means this weekend I can start putting together my journal.
In the meantime, I wanted to mark the end of summer here on LIFEANDISH by sharing those photos with you.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me these last 4 months. To those who have taken time to tell me that they’ve seen my photos online and which ones they’ve enjoyed, to those who have liked & commented on social media (I’ve been pushing Instagram hard this past month so a special thank you to those who didn’t unfollow me), to those who have asked to get family portraits taken (I have a busy few weekends to look forward to at the end of September!), and to those who have sent me gifts for my birthday that support my hobby. (Shout out to my Dad & Darla who bought me my new favorite lens, my Mom & Dad for an Amazon Gift Card & my sister Nicole who bought me a new adapter for my Memory Cards / MacBook. All help fuel what can probably be classified as the most expensive hobby, next to arguably the next most expensive hobby of mine: video games)
